Jessica Afton

BIO

Jessica Afton is a Las Vegas raised Actor & Filmmaker currently calling Brooklyn home. The daughter of a movie Teamster and a wig-maker, she was always doomed to a terribly strange life. And she's loved (most) every minute of it.

After spending over a decade acting for the stage, and with her off-broadway work featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal, Jessica also began exploring more cinematic ventures. A big fan of creators that challenge the boundaries of filmmaking, she sought to build strong relationships within the indie-film world. Inspired by her network of producers, cinematographers and directors, she also wandered behind the camera to explore directing and editing.

In 2016, she co-founded Viscera Productions, a collaboration of filmmakers who desire to challenge themselves in new and daring ways. This new avenue allowed her to direct and edit her first short film. The award-winning film 'City Stars' was featured in the Boston Globe and was featured in the Different Faces Different Voices Festival in June 2016.

Jessica is also a fan of sleeping...on special occasions.
