Jessica Reed

BIO

Jessica Reed is currently the Managing Director of Adirondack Theatre Festival, one of the premiere professional new play theatres in the country. ATF is located in beautiful Upstate NY. Jess joined the ATF staff as Managing Director in December 2017. She moved from Bloomington, Indiana where she worked as the Managing Director of Bloomington Playwrights Project - the only professional theatre in Indiana dedicated to solely new works - for six years. Jess holds an MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University?s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a BA in Art History from Indiana University?s School of Fine Arts. She is a member of the founding team as well as the Managing Director of Adirondack Film Festival. Jess has several years of Nonprofit Arts Management experience.

Getty Museum and CNP's PROMETHEUS BOUND Begins Today

This September, the Getty Museum and CalArts' Center for New Performance (CNP), in association with Trans Arts, will presentPrometheus Bound, the eighth annual outdoor theater production in the Getty Villa's Barbara and Lawrence Fleischman Theater. Featuring a newly-translated text by noted poet and essayist Joel Agee, Prometheus Bound will be directed by Travis Preston, artistic director of CNP and dean of the CalArts School of Theater, and include original music by composer Ellen Reid and celebrated jazz multi-instrumentalist Vinny Golia (who will also perform live onstage).

Directed by Michael J. Mirra with musical direction by Ricky Romano and choreography by Jessica Bittner, the show's executive producer is Stephanie Viegas, with assistant producer and production manager Jovan C. Richards.

Hypothetical Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of Jennifer Maisel's THERE OR HERE. Workshopped at PlayPenn in Philadelphia, the play was selected as a finalist for the 2007 Sundance Theatre Lab, the 2008 O'Neil Theatre Conference, and the 2008 STAGE International Script Competition for the best new play about science and technology. Directed by Amy Feinberg, previews begin September 6th at the 14th Street Theater. Opening night is slated for Tuesday, September 9th.
