Jacob Lee Parker

Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical at the Omaha Arts and Entertainment Awards, Jake is proud to have taken his role of Crutchie in The Rose Theater's production of "Disney's Newsies" to the next level beginning with method acting. This idea helps him really dig deep into the various roles he's played and it teaches him to have patience, tolerance, and an open mind depending on the role.

Jake thinks that in order for him to become a better actor professionally, he has to immerse himself in his character's life within their stories to feel all the feelings they felt, to walk the way that walk, or talk they way they talk.

The roles Jake is proud to have played include: Crutchie/"Newsies" at The Rose Theater, Fender/"Hairspray at the Papillion-La Vista Community Theater, and Peter Cratchit/"A Christmas Carol" at Omaha Community Playhouse and soon on tour with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan!

Jake has grown immensely as an professional actor within the last few productions he's been a part of and this is only the beginning!
