TONY N' TINA'S WEDDING Alum Unite In New Film

Ever wonder what happened to Tony and Tina after Tony n' Tina's Wedding? Maybe they grew up to be parents themselves.

Tony n' Tina's Wedding is, of course, the smash hit environmental theater comedy that started Off Broadway in New York and spawned numerous regional productions including Chicago and Los Angeles.

In 1996, the Chicago company made history by casting Rikki Lee Travolta as Tony - the play's first celebrity guest star. A few years later, in 2000, the New York company jumped on the stunt casting bandwagon with Domenica Cameron-Scorsese as Tina.

Now, years later Travolta and Cameron-Scorsese have united for the first time together playing parents in the horror film The Lurker.

Filming in Chicago, The Lurker centers on a group of high school students finishing a production of Romeo and Juliet. As students and faculty begin to die, it's a race against time to find the killer and escape with their lives. The film stars Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) and Michael Emery (Blue Bloods).

In the film, Travolta plays the father of male lead Emery, while Cameron-Scorsese plays the mother of female lead Taylor-Compton.

The casting of Travolta and Cameron-Scorsese shows that the producers are not looking to make just another cookie cutter SLASHER film, but one dedicated to bringing quality stage-proven talent to the cast.

Produced by John Lerchen and Wynona Ying Li, and directed by Eric Liberacki, The Lurker is scheduled for release in 2018.

Tony n' Tina's Wedding still plays to sold out crowds in both New York and Chicago.
