Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) has announced the final production of its 2013-2014 season - the US premiere of celebrated Irish writer Nancy Harris' play OUR NEW GIRL, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch and starring Mary McCann.

OUR NEW GIRL will begin previews Wednesday, May 28; officially open Tuesday, June 10; and play a limited engagement through Sunday, June 22, 2014 Off Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 16th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenue).

Behind the shiny door of Hazel Robinson's (McCann) perfect London home, nothing is as it seems. Hazel's plastic surgeon husband Richard has embarked on his latest charitable quest in Haiti, leaving the heavily-pregnant Hazel with a failing business and a problem son. When a professional nanny arrives unannounced on the Robinsons' doorstep, Hazel finds her home under the shadow of a perfect stranger with an agenda of her own. Following an acclaimed production at London's Bush Theatre, up and coming Irish playwright Nancy Harris' OUR NEW GIRL is a startling psychological drama about the darker side of modern parenthood.

Mary McCann is a founding Atlantic Theater Company member and most recently appeared in the hit production of Conor McPherson's The Weir Off Broadway and starred in the title role in last season's critically acclaimed production of Simon Stephens plays Harper Regan, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch and in the US premiere of Stephens' play Bluebird opposite Simon Russell Beale also staged by Upchurch.

NANCY HARRIS' debut original play No Romance was produced at The Abbey Theatre in March, 2011 in a critically acclaimed production. Other theatre credits include The Kreutzer Sonata (Gate Theatre, London), Little Dolls (Bush Theatre Broken Space Season) and Love in a Glass Jar (Abbey Theatre 20 Love Season).

Director Gaye Taylor Upchurch returns to Atlantic to collaborate with Mary McCann again after directing last season's acclaimed production of Simon Stephens play Harper Reagan in addition to Stephens hit play Bluebird in 2011. She is currently directing Lucy Thurber's Stay Off Broadway at The Rattlestick Theater. She directed Naomi Iizuka's Language of Angels for Lincoln Center Institute and Patrick Huguenin's Paper Dolls for the New York Fringe Festival, which received an Outstanding Ensemble Award. She also worked with Sam Mendes for three years on the trans-Atlantic Bridge Project, including the most recent production of Richard IIIstarring Kevin Spacey.
