New World Stages Starts Karaoke Idol 2010, 8/5
New World Stages will present KARAOKE IDOL 2010 for five consecutive Thursday nights, with weekly eliminations, beginning this Thursday August 5th, 10 pm - midnight. After the resounding success of their pilot "season" last summer, New World Stages has upped the ante this year with bigger cash prizes, hotter themes and even more fabulous celebrity judges. Audience votes determine who will move on in the competition and who will be this year's "Idol" winning over $1000 in prizes!
The theme for the August 5th kickoff of KAROAKE IDOL 2010 is back to the days of Studio 54, when the night life went well into the daylight hours! The days of big hair, big shoes, and even bigger voices! This week's theme is disco!
This year's judges for the competition will include Michael Urie, John Tartaglia, Ken Davenport, Adam Feldman, Blake Bradford, Carrie Cimma, Kate Pazakis, Paige Turner, Ben Cameron, Mila Jam (the artist formerly known as Britney Houston), and more.
Admission to KAROAKE IDOL 2010 is just a $5 cover charge at The Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages, 340 West 50 Street (between Eighth & Ninth Ave.)
