Following the final performance of The Pumpkin Pie Show: commencement at 8pm, stick around for a speciAl Halloween edition of The Pumpkin Pie Show featuring Clay McLeod Chapman, Abe Goldfarb and Hanna Cheek performing some of their favorite scary Halloween stories from Pumpkin Pie Shows past. Plus special burlesque performances from Madame Rosebud, Nasty Canasta, Sapphire Jones, and Bea B. Heart, The BTK Band, $5 cups of beer from our scary Halloween monster keg, and the FRIGID 2010 drawing!

The Pumpkin Pie Show is a rigorous storytelling session packed with enough emotional intensity to feel like a boxing match rather than a bedtime tale. Now entering its second decade of critically acclaimed performances, this season's edition of The Pumpkin Pie Show, commencement centers around three women drawn together in the grim aftermath of a high school shooting. The mother of the shooter (staph infection), one of the shooter's victims (early release), and the mother of that victim (keynote speaker), each performed by Hanna Cheek.

Clay McLeod Chapman is the creator of The Pumpkin Pie Show. He is the author of rest area, a collection of short stories, and miss corpus, a novel -- both published by Hyperion books. He teaches writing at The Actors Studio MFA Program at Pace University.

Hanna Cheek has been a part of The Pumpkin Pie Show since 2001, performing in: Junta High (PS 122), The Cardiac Shadow (PS 122), Saint Hanna: The Patron Saint of The Pumpkin Pie Show (The Kraine), Ringside Seats (Belt Theatre), Rise Perverts Rise!, Big Top, and The birds and The bees (The Red Room). She and playwright Chapman also teamed up in 2008 for the critically acclaimed Hostage Song at the Kraine Theater in NYC. Hanna is a member of the Drama Desk nominated Waterwell Theatre Company with whom she has devised and performed in #9 (59E59), The/King/Operetta (Barrow St. Theatre), Marco Millions...based on lies (Perry Street Theatre), Sweetness & Light (Alternate Stages), and Chill & Serve (Ground Floor Theatre). Other NYC credits: The Amulet (78th Street Lab), First You're Born (Playwrights Horizons), and Broken Boughs (Blue Heron Arts Center). TV credits include: "Titus", MTV's "Undressed: and "The West Wing".

Abe Goldfarb is an actor, writer and director living in Brooklyn. He is the co-founder, with Brian Silliman, of The Royal Circus. As an actor, he trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and has worked with such companies as The Pumpkin Pie Show, the Jean Cocteau Repertory, elsewhere, Studio 42, The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and many others. Favorite roles include Pistol in Henry V, The Frontman in Hostage Song, Tiger Brown in Threepenny Opera, Jaques in As You Like It, Arthur in In Public, the Mascot in Junta High, and Abe in The Honest-to-God True Story of the Atheist. His film writing has been seen in various publications in the U.S. and the U.K. As a director, his work includes Titus Andronicus (Gotham Shakespeare), The Magic of Mrs. Crowling (Royal Circus), and a segment in The Blood Brothers Present The New Guignol (Nosedive).

The BTK Band New York City's Hardest-Drinking Improvised Rock & Roll Storytelling Band. They perform in residence at The Stonewall Inn. Their first CD, An Evening With The BTK Band is available online and at their shows. It is filthy and not for children or the clergy. The BTK Band is: Peter Aguero on Lead Vocals, Jim Beam Rory "The Pope of Ropy Popy" Scholl on Lead Guitar,"Tennessee Senator" Ian C.
