Join us for a look at the life of our 28th President, Woodrow Wilson. Woody tells the story of Wilson's birth in Staunton and of his formative years, reveals the influences of strong women in his life, and highlights his accomplishments as the leader some historians have called "one of the 10 most important Presidents of the United States."
The musical about Staunton?s Favorite Son was written and composed by Richard Adams, local musician, performer and award-winning educator. It was first performed in 2004/2005.
This revival production features new characters, new songs, a new staging concept and script adaptations and additions by Diane Stewart, who is also directing this production. The cast features Brian Holsopple as Woodrow Wilson, Jenny Howard as Ellen Axson Wilson, Grayson Katzenbach, Rachel Dixon and Katy Laser as Wilson?s daughters, and Chrystal McKee as Edith Bolling Wilson. Other members of the ensemble include David Blackmon, Ben Houseknecht, Sherry Talbott, Bob Wright, Barbara Wimble, Hannah Woodrum, Scott Woofter, Victoria Berry, Mack Swift, Den Frumen, Matthew Riley and Grayson Reed.
