The intimate Alden Theatre has near-perfect acoustics and a welcoming environment that will make you feel at home. Our Professional Artist Series features nationally and internationally known artists from the worlds of music, dance and theatre. Just $10 for district residents!John is creating a program especially for you in celebration the contributions of African-Americans to jazz and popular music. We just got off the phone with him, and he is having a ball resurrecting some long lost gems and rediscovering the role African-American composers have played in shaping the some of our favorite music. With his own signature brand of witty, elegant jazz, John Eaton is "as reliably entertaining as The Simpsons -not to mention awfully astute!" (The Washington Post). Part of our Black History Month celebration.
