COME FROM AWAY - Curtain Call Non Equity Auditions

Come From Away is a heartwarming musical based on the true story of the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, and its residents who opened hearts and homes to 7,000 stranded airline passengers after the 9/11 attacks. When 38 planes were forced to land unexpectedly, the people of Gander responded with kindness, hospitality and generosity.

The musical explores the themes of community, resilience, and the power of human connection, highlighting how strangers become family in the face of adversity. With a vibrant folk-inspired score and an ensemble cast portraying multiple characters, Come From Away celebrates the spirit of compassion and unity in the midst of crisis.

Open auditions will be held Monday & Tuesday, June 9 & 10, from 7pm to 10pm.
Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held in The Kweskin Theatre, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT.

This is a non-paying, community-based theatre production. Curtain Call is Stamford's longest-running and only year round nonprofit producing theatre. With12 full scale productions annually, Curtain Call is one of the busiest theatres in the state.

Those auditioning should bring a traditional Broadway song or something stylistically similar to this show –
with sheet music in the proper key.
You may be asked to stay for a brief movement call and/or to read from the script. (Please: no flip flops for movement call.)

Rehearsals begin JULY 21 and are generally held, Monday thru Thursday evenings, 7pm to 10pm.

PERFORMANCES will be held Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm from September 11 through October 4. You must be available for a potential one-week extension through October 11.
