Red River Breeze Returnign to Roxy Regional Theatre, 7/16

On the heels of last December's sold-out "Celtic Christmas Concert," popular local music group Red River Breeze returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre this summer for a concert featuring world folk music with a Celtic flair on Saturday, July 16, at 7:00pm.
While the mercury will be reaching for the opposite end of the scale this time around, the same creative energy and first-rate musicianship which entertained a packed house at Red River Breeze's Christmas concert will be brought to the stage at next month's show.
Performed in Red River Breeze's own unique Celtic style, the concert will feature Stephanie Taylor on hammered dulcimer, recorders, Irish whistle, and bodhran; Melanie Beck on fiddle and bouzouki; Vanessa Green on Irish whistles and bodhran; Esther Sooter on cello and vocals; and David Magers on guitar, hammered dulcimer and djembe.
Red River Breeze is an acoustic instrumental quintet playing traditional Celtic, Renaissance, Old-Time and World music. The group, which has been in existence for over fifteen years, has five albums to their name: Friday Night Favorites (May 2006), Morgan's Song (October 2009), The Wren at the Window (October 2011), The Bird Whisperer (May 2015) and The Babe of Bethlehem (December 2015).
The concert will run approximately two hours, including two 45-minute sets and a brief intermission. Copies of the band's recordings will be available for purchase during intermission and following the performance.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org, by phone at (931) 645-7699, or at the theatre during regular box office hours (9:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday, and one hour prior to curtain). Seating is general admission.
