In 2008, the Guthrie was abuzz with new works and classic favorites in a busy 12-month lineup that included 19 productions across three stages. From starry world premieres to intimate studio engagements, we welcomed artists and audiences from around the globe to our world-class facility boldly nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River. In addition to the 13 Guthrie productions in 2008, we're proud to have presented the work of six other local theater companies. As the year comes to a close, we look back on the remarkable accomplishments of our cast, crew, staff and volunteers.

About the Guthrie
The Guthrie Theater, founded in 1963, is an American center for theater performance, production, education and professional training. The Guthrie is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists. Led by Director Joe Dowling since 1995, the Guthrie opened its new three-theater home on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis in June 2006.
