New York's 2009 Drama Desk Award winner CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY is coming to Minneapolis when The Loring Theater presents the hit show on Friday, July 15 at 7:30 and 9:30 pm.
CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY is the international smash hit comedy where outrageous and true celebrity memoirs are acted out live on stage by some of the funniest people in show business. The show is an evening of jaw-dropping, hard-to-believe vignettes excerpted straight from published celebrity tell-alls: from the ‘he-said, she-said' accounts of Burt and Lori, Tiger Woods' "golf lessons," the re-enactment of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson's courtship, to a hilarious ensemble "playlet" edited together from the memoirs of the most famous love triangle in Hollywood history - Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. Audiences leave the show asking, "Did these celebrities really write that?" Yup - we're not making any of it up!

Other major characters featured in CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY include: Sylvester Stallone, Mr. T, David Hasselhoff, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ivana Trump, VAnna White, Star Jones, Neil Sedaka, Kenny Loggins, Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers.

Playing to sell-out audiences and rave reviews in New York City since fall 2008 and created by Emmy-nominated writer-performer Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel, CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY is one of the most critically acclaimed, "buzzed about shows" of recent years, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The New York Times called CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY "big-yuks entertainment" and a "merry compendium of the witlessness and wisdom of the rich and famous," and selected it as a critic's pick. The Daily News said it is a "potent comic cocktail... you weep with laughter." The New Yorker called it "inspired." Variety wrote, "audience members hyperventilate. It should lead a long and happy life." And The New York Post called it "the funniest show in town, hands down." The show has been featured by many major media outlets, including ABC's "The View" and "Nightline," NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly," NPR's "Morning Edition," CBS's "Sunday Morning," CNN's "American Morning" and Bravo's "A-List Awards," as well as Time and The Wall Street Journal.

CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY began its national tour summer 2010 with acclaimed performances in Pittsburgh, New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, Arizona and Austin, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as a well as an ongoing production at Los Angeles's Broad Stage. The show also recently opened at London's Leicester Square Theatre where it received rave reviews and plays to sell-out audiences.

The cast of CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY is "Ugly Betty's" Michael Urie, "Entourage's" Illeana Douglas, "Will & Grace's" Tim Bagley, Emmy Award nominee Eugene Pack, Drama Desk Award winner Dayle Reyfel, Rockstar Storyteller Courtney McLean and local stage favorite George Keller.

This production at The Loring Theater will run one night only - July 15 at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
