Always been fascinated by the Ballets Russes of Serge Diaghilev, Hélène Blackburn had long sought a unique way to approach this fertile period in the history of dance. Place anchor designers such as Vaslav Nijinsky, Igor Stravinsky, Michel Fokine, Sergei Prokofiev, Erik Satie, Leon Bakst, etc.., The Ballets Russes broke with the choreographic and musical codes of the time, marking the transition to modernity . One hundred years later, several choreographies of their repertoire still haunt the history of dance.
