Cyrano is a nose, a rock, a cape, a peninsula, is a masterly work which jostle one thousand characters to whom any director's dream to life! For a company, for any one theater, the moment has come to draw the sword, to roll up his mustache and go to the assault! Assemble, interpret, play "Cyrano" is the loud, flights of fancy, drama, action, love ... the spirit and panache!
Both Gascon fighter and romantic poet, Cyrano is madly in love with his cousin
Roxane. Wearing a long ugly nose that the complex, he dared to declare his love. when
Roxane tells him she loves Christian, the hero generous but hopeless agrees to his eloquence at the service of two lovers.
With Cyrano de Bergerac, Edmond Rostand mixes genres: romantic drama, popular comedy, romance swashbuckling. Once the machine theatrical momentum, nothing can stop it: the twists turns fast and furious and the audience goes from laughter to tears fighting between two of the verb or the sword.
To perform this work timeless, director Michel Kacenelenbogen has surrounded himself with ... a team of 26 talented performers. Best of all, Cyrano will be played by Olivier Massart, well known to the public (Of Mice and Men, Claude Gueux, Dom Juan, God of Carnage, etc.).. An ambitious theater project to discover together!
