Theatre Lawrence opens its new season with a popular musical revue, Forbidden Broadway. In this long running hit Broadway's greatest musical legends meet Broadway's greatest satirist in a hilarious, loving and endlessly entertaining tribute to some of the theatre's greatest stars and songwriters. The show, by Gerard Alessandrini, is a lot of fun, and a robust reminder of what's up, what's down and what's probably immortal in the land of musical comedy.

Our featured performers in this show are Kayla Motley, Melia Stockham, Bruce Douglas and PatRick Kelly.

The show is under the direction of Terrance McKerrs, the Saricks Family Visiting Artist, with music direction by Mary Baker. Eleanor Patton and Jill Stueve have designed the costumes, Jack Riegle the set and Ron Chinn the lighting. Alicia Barlow is assistant director.

Opening night audiences are invited to a reception at 6:30pm sponsored by TCK Trust and Financial Advisors and catered by Culinaria.
