Two Students Win Indiana District MET National Council Auditions

An Indiana University Jacobs School of Music student and Ball State School of Music student were named winners in the Indiana District competition of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions that this year took place Oct. 30 at IU's Musical Arts Center.

Indiana University Opens Center for Integrative Photographic Studies

Indiana University's new Center for Integrative Photographic Studies opened last spring with a mission to promote the multidisciplinary study of photography among the arts, sciences and humanities at all eight of IU's campuses and beyond. This fall, the center launched a program that will bring at least two external fellows to campus each year for periods of time ranging from two days to a week. The center hosted a lecture by Tokihiro Sato, one of Japan's best-known artists working in contemporary photography, in early September.

BCP Seeks Directors for Youth Production

Buck Creek Players, the award-winning all-volunteer community theater on the southeast-side of Marion County, seeks submissions from interested directors for their 2012 summer youth production. Interested directors are asked to submit a current resume of theatrical experience along with two reading copies of the production(s) they wish to have considered. Musical submissions must also have two (2) copies of a cast recording submitted in order to be considered.
