Jester Productions Presents EQUUS at Prithvy Theatre on February 2 and 3, 2010.

2 Hours (with interval)

Based solely upon the account of a friend about a crime involving a 17-year-old boy who blinded 6 horses in a small town near London, Peter Shaffer undertook the task of constructing a fictitious account of what might have caused the incident. The play tells the story of a psychiatrist, who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious and sexual fascination with horses. In the process he is forced to take a look at his own life and his duty to society as a psychiatrist.
