The capital witnessed a melodious evening as a flute recital filled the Autumn air with music strains.

At Pracheen Kala Kendra, an organization that works towards promoting and spreading classical Indian art. At the opening day a vocal recital by prominent Vocalist Venkatesh Kumar was held followed by a melodious flute recital by Pt. Rajinder Prasanna at Stein Auditorium , India habitat Centre yesterday. Venkatesh is an Indian Hindustani classical vocalist with a lovely classical singing style. He is also popular for his rendition of devotional songs composed by the Haridasa.

Prof. Venkatesh Kumar is a talented musicians blessed with a deep understanding of the genre. He has performed at all major music festivals in India and abroad and has also received many prestigious awards too. Pt. Rajendra Prasanna hails from the renowned "Benaras Gharana" and is a master of flute & shehnai.

The musicians lent a charming musical quality to the evening.
