A cultural exhibition highlighting visual and performing artistic nuances in recognition of UN Secretary-General's 'Together' campaign will be held in New Delhi. The exhibit titled Sanmati will be held between April 2-7, at Lalit Kala Akademi and would feature film screenings along with a print exhibit inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.

The movies that will be screened are 'Remember Slavery: Recognizing the Legacy and Contributions of People of African Descent,' and 'The State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda.'

The event, which is open for all, is held in association with United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and in collaboration with National Progressive Schools Conference.

The 'Together,' campaign is an attempt to raise awareness about victims of hatred and intolerance. The project believes that every individual deserves the right to be treated equally and with regard. The film screenings are sensitively chosen to instill these feelings of universal brotherhood especially in times such as these.

Event details:

2 - 7 April 2017, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Lalit Kala Akademi Galleries,

Rabindra Bhavan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi
