The Bihari Picture Book 2013 at Palace of Arts, Festival Theatre

The Bihari Ensemble was founded under the leadership of Ferenc “Tata” Novák in 1954. In more than half a century since, the collective has won major prizes and garnered recognition at dozens of Hungarian and international festivals, landing a Prima Prize in 2012. As the result of a structured approach to fostering young talent, the Bihari Ensemble now boasts more than 200 members. The vast majority of young artists are introduced to our Hungarian traditions through a basic grounding in the arts and the ensemble is an open workshop where choreographers have kept – and continue to keep – the creations of several generations alive through performance.
