Having already achieved enormous success on the opera stage as Carmen, Isabelle Druet appears before a Budapest audience with a thematic selection of numerous musical gems within the framework of the Rising Stars programme of ECHO, the organisation grouping the most prestigious concert halls in Europe. “I love the intimacy of this genre, the direct connection with the audience,” Druet said in an interview of singing songs. “I can perform works which, although not as spectacular or well-known, are still wonderful pieces of music.”
