The Ballet of the Opera tribute again an indispensable to Roland Petit through three works of one of the major choreographers of the 20th century.Le rendez-vous, Le Loup and Carmen are gathered around the theme of tragic love and shine as black Suns in the history of dance and the arts. With The appointment, in 1945, Roland Petit is accompanied by artists such as Prévert, Picasso, Brassaï, Kosma and sign one of his early masterpieces. Carmen, created for his muse Zizi Jeanmaire in 1949, marks a turning point in the career of choreographer, propelling it on the international scene. The strength of his imagination and his creative power lead him to choreograph The Wolf, in 1953, conte cruel and tender, designed on a libretto by Jean Anouilh, Henri Dutilleux and décor of Carzou musical creation. Three ballets, carnal and poetic, that reflect a sense of the art of narrative and a contemporary choreographic language that continues to be conjugated in the present.
