WASHINGTON IRVING (30s - 50s; male presenting) a dynamic storyteller, physically and vocally adept, taking on all of the roles in the telling of his tale.
THE LAST VICTORIAN by J.B. Miller (world premiere)

MR. FEATHERSTONE (40s-50s; male presenting) – cheeky working class employee of a care home; avoids responsibility.
DUNCAN PRATT (30s-40s; male presenting) – co-owner of an antique shop; goodhearted, a bit gullible, stuck in the past.
ROGER LUND (40s-50s; male presenting) - Duncan’s partner, in antiques and in life. Elegant, acidic, an opportunist.
VICKY (GRANNY) PRATT [CAST] (122; female presenting) - possibly the last living person from the Victorian era; cantankerous, opinionated, dotty. CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy)
TANIA (30s; female presenting) – Australian; a local TV news personality; spunky; drinks too much.

RASKOLNIKOV (20s-40s; male presenting) – a proud, socially anxious intellectual, sometimes aggressive and prone to paranoia.
PORFIRY (30s-50s; male presenting) – a highly intelligent, shrewd, cynical magistrate, given to eccentricity (doubles various secondary roles as well).
SONIA (20s-40s; female presenting) – a quiet, timid, compassionate, determined woman; despite selling her body for her family’s welfare, she is deeply religious (doubles various secondary roles as well).

JITTA LENKHEIM (30s-40s; female presenting) An intelligent woman, who after having had an affair with her husband's late best friend, agrees to get the dead man's manuscript published, even under her husband's name.
ALFRED LENKHEIM (40s-50s; male presenting) Jitta's husband, a scholarly doctor who despite his anger over her infidelity, considers publishing her lover's book, but upon reading it, calls it tommy-rot and refuses.
AGNES HALDENSTEDT (30s-40s; female presenting) Bruno's widow, embittered at the discovery of his infidelity - doubles as MRS. BILLITER, an officious and discrete landlady.
BRUNO HALDENSTEDT (40s-50s; male presenting) Jitta's lover, a colleague of her husband. When dying he asks her to be sure his book gets published, even if not in his name.
EDITH HALDENSTEDT (20s; female presenting) Bruno's daughter, struggling to deal with her father's infidelity and death, and very much at odds with her mother--doubles as THE FLOWER GIRL, a cheeky working girl.
DR. FESSLER (20s; male presenting) A naive and earnest young man, engaged to Edith, who tries to comfort her in her grief and anger, despite doubting his ability to do so.
