Note: The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego is considering a production of TIO PEPE for their upcoming 2011-2012 season. These auditions are being held to secure principal casting possibilities for production.

Early/mid 20s, must be strong actor and dancer. TO PLAY PUERTO RICAN. The middle child of the family. A soulful and deeply compassionate young man who carries the weight of his family's troubles on his back and who has given up his dreams to hold his family together. But he is not a martyr--he is simply a young man who has been asked by life to do far more than even a fully grown man could bear. He loves his family so much that he is willing to destroy himself to save them. There is a quiet, churning power inside him. He is at once the toughest and most fragile person you've ever met.
