Repertory Season
PREPARATION
For your audition, we ask that you prepare up to three minutes of material, either one classical or contemporary monologue, or two contrasting pieces. Prepare according to your interest in our season. Please bring 2 copies of your headshot and resume.

OTHER DATES
A Midsummer Night's Dream begins rehearsals on 4/3, Julius Caesar begins rehearsals on 4/8, and Merry Wives begins rehearsals on 5/2, these three productions perform weekday mornings throughout May, early June and again in at the end of September and early October. Weekend repertory performances run 6/7 thru 9/27. The Last Best Small Town and the TBD production rehearse evenings in late May through July, and join the repertory performances through 9/27.

A NOTE ON MERRY WIVES: This production will be set in suburban Connecticut during the1950s.
âJohn Falstaff- A pompous and scurrilous cad, ever on the hunt for a quick buck.
âMrs. Ford- A wealthy and cautious woman who enjoys laying traps for all the foolish men in her life.
âMr. Ford- Married to Alice, jealous to the point of masquerade
âMrs. Page- An advantaged woman of high social status who lays a trap for the lecherous Falstaff.
âAnne Page- A plucky bachelorette, pursued by three young suitors. Loves Fenton.
âMr. Page- A mostly sensible man, yet relentlessly tries to marry his daughter to a fool.
âWilliam Page- The young son of the Page family.
âFenton- A romantic and fiscally irresponsible young man, in love with Anne Page.
âMrs. Quickly- A puckish servant, apt to take advantage of a workplace relationship.
âRobert Shallow- A grumpy country lawyer and uncle to Slender.
âAbraham Slender- A young suitor to Anne who much prefers sport to courting women.
âPeter Simple- Slender’s assistant.
âDoctor Caius- A French doctor. The only thing worse than his temper is his English.
âHugh Evans- A Welshman who seeks to aid Slender and Shallow in wooing Anne.
âHost- A clever arbitrator who sets a duel between two injured parties.
âJohn Rugby- An assistant to Doctor Caius.
âBardolph, Pistol and Nym- Falstaff’s drinking buddies
âRobin- Falstaff’s assistant.
THE LAST BEST SMALL TOWN

âPLAYWRIGHT â- (â30s or maybe 40s. Perhaps it's difficult to tell). The gender of this person does not matter. But it would be best if they were a person of color. Extra points if they are Latinx.
âCHUY â- (âLate 60sâ). His full name is Jesús Gonzalez Muñatones, but everyone has always calls him Chuy. He is Elliot's paternal grandfather and a plumber at a local plumbing company.
âBENNY â- (âLate 40s at the start of the playâ). Benito Gonzalez is a son, a father, a husband, and a provider. Married to Della, he is a Southern California native who has lived his entire life in Fillmore, California. He spends his days working as a mechanic at acar dealership in Valencia. He does not own a car.
âHANK â- (âEarly 50s at the start of the playâ). Hank William Miller is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, the editor of the local paper (known as the âFillmore Gazetteâ), and Willow's husband. He likes a green lawn.
âDELLA â- (âLate 40s at the start of the playâ). Dolores Gonzalez is an unwavering supporter of her family. She works as a cleaning lady for the Fillmore Best Western during the week and runs her own home-maid service on the weekends to help pay the bills.
âWILLOW â- (âLate 40s at the start of the playâ). A force to be reckoned with, Willow Miller is a college graduate who met Hank at a Vietnam protest. Now she is a housewife who manages almost every aspect of Miller house with aplomb.
âELLIOT â- (â18 at the start of the playâ). Elliot Gonzalez is the Fillmore High School valedictorian of 2005. People call him Eli (pronounced âEl-EEâ).
âMAYA â- (â17 at the start of the playâ). Maya Miller is the Fillmore High School debate team captain elect, an all around great student, and a complete badass.
