A once-powerful religious leader, haunted by feelings of betrayal, clings to his dignity with the support of his most devoted congregation—family.
Seeking (all roles are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted) unless otherwise specified):
Reverend Charles Dupree:
African American man, late 50s. Distinguished, opinionated, a leader. Exudes power and confidence to the world, but is internally frightened and confused, struggling to maintain his dignity.
Brendan:
African American man, late 20s. Doctor. Polished. Running from his past, still unable to accept responsibility for past sins, and privately in need of his father's approval.
Olu:
African woman, late 20s. Doctor. Polished. Strong; bears life's burdens with a smile and optimism while remaining acutely sensitive to the pain of others. Actress must be able to do an African accent.
Kenny:
African American man, late 20s. Professional basketball player. At peace with himself. Quick with a joke. Has the ability to see clearly through chaos.
