RON FINDER/ AS CAST: 40s-50s. Black. He/Him. A celebrated reporter reluctantly returning home to cover a story. Purposeful and will relentlessly work to uncover the truth. Has a lot of pain that lives right under the surface of his sturdy exterior. A bit weathered.

JACK BURDEN/ AS CAST: late 30s-40s. White. He/him. Rough around the edges. Trying hard to do the right thing. Working class. In over his head.

OLIVE GAINES / AS CAST: OFFER OUT. 60s-70s. White. She/her. A proxy for Ron’s dad. Has a real bite to her and a good sense of humor. Highly intelligent.

DWAYNE/ AS CAST: THIS ROLE IS CAST. 40s. Black. He/him. Dwayne Davis is a city manager with high political ambitions. Slick. Can be bullish. Doubles as Dr. James, a caring and thoughtful doctor and the Motel Manager, a hard worker deeply invested in figuring out his daughter’s illness.
