An Equity monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

Rehearsals begin: February 17, 2026, at the Music Theatre of Connecticut.
Production opens: Friday, March 6, 2026, and runs Friday–Sunday for three weeks, closing on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Music Theatre of Connecticut continues its 39th season with the musical celebration THE IRISH AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY. MTC is located in a beautiful theatre center in Norwalk, CT, and the company has won numerous Best awards from BroadwayWorld and the Connecticut Critics' Circle, including the Killen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Professional Theatre.

THE IRISH is a celebration of Irish culture in a musical revue-ish structure. Singers/actors who can play one of the following instruments — piano, guitar, mandolin, accordion, or various percussion instruments (not drums) — and who also move well are encouraged to audition. Tap or Irish dance is a plus but not required.

- Woman 1 – Ingenue or leading lady, 20s/30s, soprano/belt
- Woman 2 – Feisty character woman, 20s/30s, alto/belt
- Man 1 – Sprightly character comedian, 20s/30s, bari-tenor
- Man 2 – Leading man, 20s/30s, baritone
- Man 3 – Irish Danny Boy tenor, 20s/30s, strong but vulnerable
