Seeking versatile and transformational actors adept at musical comedy to play a variety of roles/chorus characters. Roles may be doubled/tripled (TBA). All positions are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted):
Dionysos:
God of Wine and Drama.
Xanthias:
Dionysos’s slave – “smarter, stronger, more rational, more prudent, and braver than Dionysos”.
Herakles:
“Hercules” – renowned for his strength and masculinity.
Charon:
The boatman – ferries Dionysus and Xanthias across the river Styx. Naps on the job.
Pluto:
Ruler of the Underworld.
Shaw:
George Bernard Shaw – the very soul of reason and intellect. Excellent British accent.
Shakespeare:
William Shakespeare – the very soul of passion and poetry. Excellent British accent.
Ariadne:
Dionysus’s long-dead wife.
Aeakos:
Keeper of the keys to the Underground Palace
Charisma:
Sumptuous handmaiden of Persephone.
