Caucasian Female, 30s. Pronounced “Ah-nuh.” Smart. Beautiful. Charming. Her charisma masks a deep need to control. The Mother Bee. A columnist for a daily paper. Also playsJaded Literary Agent.
Rob:
Caucasian Male, 30s. Ana’s golden-boy, handsome, underachiever husband who is starting to search for soulful meaning in life. Met in College. Former quarterback/ upper crust background. Also plays Shark Bite Survivor.
Will:
Caucasian Male, 30s. Rob’s conservative, well-dressed, tidy, disciplined college roommate and best friend. Ana’s former boyfriend. History buff. Unmarried. A book forces Will to confront the truth about himself and pushes him to reveal that he is gay and has been in love with Rob for years. Also plays Former Secret Service Agent.
Jen:
Caucasian Female, 30s. Ana’s friend. Pretty, smart. Tends to spew forth awkward but truthful comments. Despite lacking some self-confidence, she is in many ways the grounding center of the group. Disorganized, disheveled and oblivious to her own attractiveness and power. Unmarried. Also plays Candy, a felon.
Lily:
African American Female, Mid to Late 20s. A go-getter; former debate captain who is on the cusp of all current trends, but can still put her foot in her mouth in social situations. A great lover of books. Ana’s young protégé at the paper. Also plays Octogenarian, Librarian, and Sky Diver.
Alex:
Male, 30s. Please submit all ethnicities, specifically Caucasian, Latino, Jewish, Asian or South Asian actors. The New Guy. A very smart academic who has lost his moorings and is searching for real connection. Professor of Comparative Literature. Also plays Wal-Mart Guy.
