PREPARATION
For dramatic auditions, please prepare a brief monologue. For musical auditions, please prepare a brief song. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. An Equity Monitor will be provided.

THE RESERVOIR

SEEKING:
JOSH – (He/Him, 20s) Drama student, who’s a drunk on medical leave from NYU. Struggling to make sense of the world and the noise in his head. Good humored, hopeful.
BEV – (She/Her, 60’s-70’s) A loving but no-nonsense Jewish woman. Tough as nails, endlessly curious, relentless, and full of surprises. The moral and spiritual center of the play.
SHRIMPY – (He/Him, 60’s-70’s) A Brooklyite Jewish jokester with a huge heart, and ‘game’. He manages to be both unacceptably filthy and somehow endearing.
HANK – (He/Him, 60’s-70’s) A conservative Nebraskan Evangelical with traditional views. He’s a loving husband and grandpa, but limited patience with Josh’s plight.
IRENE – (She/Her, 60’s-70’s) The sweetest Midwestern grandma in the whole wide world. Josh's favorite as a kiddo. Former singer and church pianist. Effortlessly emanates warmth and love. Sings.
PATRICIA - (She/Her, 40’s-50’s) Josh's Mom. Hurt and angered by Josh’s recent behavior, but at her core, a mom who just wants to be loving and goofy again. Has comic chops, vulnerability, and finesse. (Doubles as JEANETTE MCFOLLY, LENNI, DARLENE, and RABBI SILVER)
HUGO – (He/Him, 30’s-40’s) A long-time bookstore manager. Desperately believes in books and the store. Reserved...until he isn't. Has the ability to transform, comic chops, and finesse. (Doubles as TAYLOR, YAAKOV STERN, COUNSELOR RICK) Any ethnicity.
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS

1st rehearsal: June 2, 2026. Runs June 19-July 12, 2026.
SEEKING:
TRACK 1: (Any gender; any ethnicity; 30’s-50’s.) Plays 15+ characters including Gauthier Ralph, British Consul, Director of Police, Priest, Sir Francis, Bunsby, Mudge, Speedy, and others. Seeking an inventive comic actor great with dialects and physicality; strong comic energy.
TRACK 2: (Any gender; any ethnicity; 40’s-60’s.) Plays several characters, primarily Detective Fix: a comically inept Sherlock Holmes type; a scheming, pompous Scotland Yard detective who outwits himself at every turn. Also plays Andrew Stuart, Priest, Indian Conductor, Elephant Owner, Young Parsi, Oyster Puff, U.S. Conductor, and Reverend Wilson's Servant.
TRACK 3: (Any gender; any ethnicity; 20’s-40’s.) Primarily plays Passepartout, Fogg's comedic, idealistic, resourceful and enthusiastic manservant/sidekick; strong comedic actor with French dialect. Also plays John Sullivan and Yet Another British Consul.
TRACK 4: (She/Her; South Asian. 20’s-40’s.) Primarily plays Aouda: an Indian princess; docile and endearing with a strong mind and wit; headstrong and resilient; falls in love with Fogg and him with her; also plays James Forster, Newspaperman, and Priest.
TRACK 5: (He/Him; 40’s-60.) Phileas Fogg, a London gentleman circumnavigating the globe in 80 days; a wealthy Englishman and gentleman. An adventurer, cool, calm, intelligent, and stalwart, unflappable and precise. This actor only plays one character.

SEEKING:
EUGENE JEROME: (He/Him; 14-16.) The protagonist and narrator. Precocious, obsessed with baseball and girls, and going through puberty while navigating a crowded, lower-middle-class household.
KATE JEROME: (She/Her; 40’s.) Eugene's mother. The practical, overworked, and family-oriented matriarch who keeps the household together.
JACK JEROME: (He/Him; 40’s-50’s.) Eugene's father. A hardworking, tired, and patient man holding the extended family together by working two jobs.
STANLEY JEROME: (He/Him; 18-20.) Eugene's older brother. Caring but impulsive, he works a factory job to support the family and struggles with growing up.
BLANCHE JEROME: (She/Her; 30’s-40’s.) Kate's widowed sister. Struggling to be the parent of her two daughters, and dependent upon Jack and Kate.
NORA MORTON: (She/Her; 18.) Blanche's eldest daughter. Beautiful and ambitious, she dreams of performing on Broadway, causing tension in the house.
LAURIE: (She/Her; 13-15.) Blanche's younger daughter. Studious, pampered, and sometimes uses a heart flutter to avoid chores. Will be cast locally.
