Prepare one (1) classical monologue, preferably Shakespeare not to exceed 3 minutes total.
If wishing to audition for the musical, also prepare a brief song. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Total audition of monologue and song should not exceed 3 minutes combined.
Bring a headshot and resume stapled together.
Actors will be considered for all roles still available in the current season. All roles are understudied.
The Shakespeare Theatre Company specializes in classic plays. The theatre is always seeking new classical actors of all age ranges and types to add to its files.

THE HEIR APPARENT

Geronte: (60s, male). An elderly, miserly old man on the brink of death and chock full of diseases.
Eraste: (25-30, male). Geronte’s nephew. Attempting to ingratiate himself to Geronte and become his sole heir.
Crispin: (20s-30s, male). A crafty young manservant helping Eraste become the heir to Geronte’s estate.
Lisette: (20s-30s, female). A down-to-earth maid taking care of Geronte. Speaks her mind.
Madam Argant: (50s, female). A battleaxe of a matron.
Isabelle: (20s, female). Bright and beautiful innocent girl.
Scruple: (40s, male). A lawyer. Very small and of a dignified age.
