Prepare 32 bars of a Pop/Rock song that shows off your vocal range and personality. Please also bring sheet music in the correct key.

BREAKDOWN

Based on the hit TV series, Riverdale, a Musical Parody is a high-energy, campy send up of the beloved CW Show based on the Archie Comics. The series follows Archie Andrews' life in the small town of Riverdale and explores the darkness hidden behind its seemingly perfect image. Actors of all genders, races, shapes and sizes STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to audition, and will be considered for all roles.

ARCHIE ANDREWS-Male presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Baritone/Tenor). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. High school football player and wrestler. All American good looks, charming smile and likable. Always the good boy, Archie has a secret that could tarnish his image forever. **Must be comfortable being shirtless

JUGHEAD JONES-Male presenting, all ethnicities, all genders. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Tenor). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. Emo, moody and pensive. Jughead is a writer and a Riverdale city history buff. A bit of a stoner, Jughead likes to watch the world from an outside perspective, but he’s about to get drawn into Riverdale’s secret life.

BETTY COOPER-Female presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Belt mix with exceptional range). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. America’s Sweetheart type. Blonde, classic girl next door, but underneath her Americana, she surpasses a sinister alter ego, Dark Betty, whose secret hidden demons are slowly taking over Betty’s perfect high school life.

VERONICA LODGE-Female presenting, Latinx. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Belt mix with exceptional range). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. The new girl in town. Veronica has just moved to small town Riverdale from her life on the Upper East Side of New York City. She’s gone from Gossip Girl to Dawson’s Creek and it’s a big adjustment for this daddy’s girl.

KEVIN KELLER-Male presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Tenor). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. Son of Riverdale’s sheriff, KEVIN is the pop culture guru, theatre loving, trivia spouting, cheerleader worshipping most popular gay man at Riverdale High. Secretly, the oppressed KEVIN is engaging in some risky behavior down by Sweetwater River. This actor will also play multiple adults and other students in Riverdale

CHERYL BLOSSOM-Female presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals (Rock Belt with exceptional range). Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. Riverdale’s High’s Queen Bee. Dark and moody, especially since the disappearance of her twin brother, Jason, Cheryl Blossom is the sexy ice queen everyone loves to hate.

MALE CITIZEN OF RIVERDALE-Male presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals. Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. In addition to playing LUKE PERRY, ALICE COOPER, and CLIFFORD BLOSSOM, this actor will also play multiple other adults and students in Riverdale.

FEMALE CITIZEN OF RIVERDALE-Female presenting, all ethnicities. Strong Pop/Rock Vocals. Excellent Comedic Skills. Strong Mover. In addition to playing MISS GRUNDY, Archie’s sexy, ethically problematic music teacher, this actor will also play JOSIE, POLLY COOPER, and multiple other adults and students in Riverdale.
