MARETHA – (Female-identifying character, 10-13, Black) Berniece’s daughter. Bright, curious, and full of potential.
WINING BOY – (Male-identifying character, late 50-60s, Black) A charming, wandering musician who carries himself with flair. Older brother to Doaker. Always ready with a joke or a song.

CLOWN 2 – (Male-identifying character, any age, any/all ethnicities) A rapid succession of characters throughout the play. Imaginative and highly physical, the Clown characters live in the heightened, fast-paced style of farce.
