Please prepare two contrasting monologues, not to exceed four minutes total.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.
All available roles will be considered for AEA contracts. All are available unless otherwise specified (auditioning actors will be considered for all available roles, and as possible replacements in pre-cast roles).
Antony and Cleopatra by William Shakespeare. Dir: James J. Christy. 1st reh: 4/5/11. Runs 5/4 – 5/22.
Note: Specific doubling is NOT set in stone.
Enobarbus:
Late 40s-early 50s. Mature warrior. Aggressive, intelligent, hardened and cynical about life, but capable of great loyalty and love for Antony.
Caesar:
30s. Naturally aristocratic, with a strong bearing and presence. Cool and calculating.
Charmian:
Woman, late 30s - early 40s. Mature but still very attractive and sensual. Lively, playful, sharp as a tack and deeply loyal to Cleopatra.
Agrippa / Dolabella:
30s. Caesar’s right-hand man. Strong warrior, but capable of diplomacy and charm. Has a real compassion for Cleopatra at the end.
Maecenas / Proculeius:
30s. Caesar’s right-hand man. Strong warrior, but capable of diplomacy and charm. Cold with Cleopatra at the end.
