An influential music publisher and producer. He is a fast-talking, energetic force of nature. Powerful, direct and sometimes intimidating, but he has a real affinity for his writers and artists. A hit maker.
Age: 40 to 60. (Vocal range: A2 to C#4). Male-presenting character.
Carole’s Jewish mother. Once an aspiring playwright, she has been broken down by life and her husband’s infidelity. Protective of Carole and unforgiving of her husband’s mistakes.
Age: 40 to 50. Female-presenting character.
Strong singers who move to play Drifters, Shirelles, and other various parts in the show. Also actors who play instruments.
20–early 30s to play teens and adult roles. Open to all ethnicities and self-identities. Understudies for principal roles will be cast from our ensemble. Must be strong singers, actors, and dancers (high-energy contemporary dance) for ensemble.
