GLORIA ESTEFAN – Female-presenting, 25–35
An international singing icon who began from humble beginnings. Cuban, fluent in Spanish. At a young age, she was forced to flee Cuba along with her mother, Gloria, her abuela, Consuelo, and her sister, Rebecca. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano, Top – F4, Bottom – A3. Role will be understudied.
EMILIO ESTEFAN – Male-presenting, 25–35
The husband and music partner of Gloria Estefan. Cuban. Spanish is his first language, and he sometimes struggles to find his words in English. Emilio is confident, handsome, and passionate. Vocal range: Baritone, Top – E4, Bottom – G2. Role will be understudied.
GLORIA FAJARDO – Female-presenting, 50–60
The mother of Gloria Estefan. Cuban, fluent in Spanish. The matriarch of the family, Gloria, is brassy and strong-willed, with a biting sense of humor. Very protective of her two daughters, Gloria and Rebecca. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano, Top – F5, Bottom – G3. Role will be understudied.
CONSUELO GARCIA – Female-presenting, 65–75
Gloria’s abuela (grandmother) and one of her biggest supporters. Consuelo acts as Gloria’s stage mom, pushing her to keep pursuing her music career, even when Gloria doubts herself. Cuban, fluent in Spanish. Non-singing role.
JOSÉ FAJARDO – Male-presenting, 50–60
Father of Gloria Estefan. He is a loving, caring father who deeply values his family. While living in Cuba, José worked as a government police officer. He had to send his wife, Gloria Fajardo, and the rest of his family away from Cuba. Vocal range: Baritone, Top – E4, Bottom – G2. Role will be understudied.
REBECCA FAJARDO – Female-presenting, 18–25
Gloria Estefan's younger sister. She sees Gloria as a mother figure, even though she is only a few years older. Rebecca is bolder than her older sister, isn’t shy, and is eager to be a part of whatever her sister is doing. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano, Top – F5, Bottom – A3. Role will be understudied.
PHIL – Male-presenting, 30–50
The record label executive that Gloria and Emilio signed with. Opinionated, uncompromising businessman with a short temper. Quick to put Gloria and Emilio’s music into a box. Non-singing role; will be understudied.
YOUNG GLORIA – Female-presenting, 18+ to play teenager
Portrays Gloria Estefan at a pre-teen age. Cuban, fluent in Spanish. Innocent, shy, smart, self-reliant, often cares for her sister. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano, Top – F5, Bottom – A3. Role will be understudied.
NAYIB / YOUNG EMILIO – Male-presenting, 18+ to play teenager
The young son of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Straightforward, determined child with a strong personality who loves to watch his mother perform. Will double as Young Emilio. Non-singing role; will be understudied.
ENSEMBLE – 18+
Dance-heavy ensemble using Latin dance styles. Some featured members have singing or speaking roles.

JOSEPH – Male-presenting, 25–35
Eleventh and favorite son of Jacob. Confident and charming. Vocally strong. Tenor. NOTE: Must be comfortable shirtless on stage.
NARRATOR – Female-presenting, 25–45
The audience’s guide through the story. Tells Joseph’s story with words and song. Can command the stage while directing focus to story elements. An excellent vocalist with great energy. Soprano/Belt.
PHARAOH – Male-presenting, 25–45
Egypt’s ruler, considered a god on earth; searching for the meaning behind his dreams. Portrayed as a world-famous rock star, typically reminiscent of Elvis. Full of energy and confidence. Baritone.
JACOB – Male-presenting, 50–65
The aged father of Joseph and his 11 brothers. Sings and moves well. Baritone.
JOSEPH’S BROTHERS – Male-presenting, 18+
Jealous of Joseph being their father’s favorite son. Excellent dancers and singers. Will likely double as general ensemble in some scenes.
POTIPHAR – Male-presenting, 35–55
Rich, self-indulgent, and sophisticated Egyptian capitalist. Makes Joseph the leader of his household. Powerful speaking voice.
MRS. POTIPHAR – Female-presenting, 25–35
Featured ensemble. Indulgent and confident in pursuit of what she wants, which currently happens to be Joseph.
BUTLER – Male-presenting, 18+
Featured ensemble. Pharaoh’s right hand. While in jail, Joseph interprets the Butler’s dreams to a positive outcome. May double as a member of the greater ensemble. Tenor.
BAKER – Male-presenting, 18+
Featured ensemble. Head of the Pharaoh’s kitchen. While in jail, Joseph interprets the Baker’s dreams to a less-than-positive outcome. May double as a member of the greater ensemble.
WIVES – Female-presenting, 18+
Ensemble. The wives of Joseph’s 11 brothers. Skilled dancers and singers.
ENSEMBLE – 18+
Versatile performers serving as Ishmaelites, Egyptians, Canaanites, and other characters within Joseph’s story.

DREW – Male-presenting, 25–35
An appealing, good-guy rocker with great comedic timing, boyish charm, vulnerability, and a very strong, high rock tenor voice. Guitar skills a plus but not required. Works at the Bourbon Room, hoping his dreams will come true. Instantly attracted to Sherrie. Vocal Range: Bb3–D5.
LONNY – Male-presenting, 35–50
The narrator of the piece. Charming, mischievous, vibrant personality; strong, honest comedic timing/improv skills and strong high rock vocals. Vocal Range: D3–D5.
SHERRIE – Female-presenting, 25–35
An innocent Midwestern girl pursuing her dreams of stardom. Strong comedic timing, strong rock belt, good movement ability. Vocal Range: G3–F5.
DENNIS DUPREE – Male-presenting, 45–55
A classic stoner-type who runs the famous Bourbon Room club. Torn about whether to sell the club. Very strong comedic timing; laidback, easy-going. Bari-tenor rock vocals. Vocal Range: D3–G4.
STACEE JAXX – Male-presenting, 35–45
A sexy rock star who left his successful band to go solo. Self-important, confident, intriguing in all the wrong ways—the ultimate bad boy. Great comedic timing with a strong, high rock tenor voice. Character identifies as male. Vocal Range: C3–Eb5. NOTE: Guitar skills a plus but not required.
JUSTICE / MOTHER – Female-presenting, 45–65
A strong presence with easy sensuality. Once a performer, now operates a gentleman’s club where Sherrie works. Takes on a maternal role for the girls who work for her. Strong, soulful vocals needed. Doubles as Sherrie’s mother. Vocal Range: G3–Db5.
HERTZ KLINEMANN – Male-presenting, 40–60
An attractive older German male. Uptight, cold, intimidating businessman trying to buy up the Strip. The bad guy of the piece. Strong comedic timing and baritone rock vocals. Character identifies as male. Vocal Range: F3–G#4.
FRANZ KLINEMANN – Male-presenting, 25–35
Hertz’s son, young German male (20s). Works for his father but not by choice. Pressured and intimidated by his father. Shy, gentle with a big heart. Strong rock baritenor vocals and great comedic timing. Character identifies as male. Vocal Range: Db3–E5.
REGINA / CANDI – Female-presenting, 25–35
A fun, strong hippie who fights against the attempted takeover of The Sunset Strip. Strong comedic timing, belt vocals. Vocal Range: A3–Eb5.
MAYOR / JA'KEITH / ENSEMBLE – Male-presenting
Strongly comedic, doubles multiple roles, with a great rock/soul sound, and strong dance/movement ability.
JOEY PRIMO / ENSEMBLE – Male-presenting, 18–25
Has a rocker sensibility, strong rock tenor, and strong dance/movement ability.

Seeking adult performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and types. Must have good comedic timing to play numerous roles. Will understudy many of the principal roles. Strong rock vocals and movement/dance abilities required.
