Free parking and entrance to the building is through the parking lot off of Sairs Ave. For NJ Transit, take the North Jersey Coast Line to Long Branch. Taxis are available at the station, or it’s about a 10-minute walk to the theater.

SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in New Jersey Repertory Company's 2026 Season (see breakdown).

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

The theater's statement: Age is not as important as the spirit of the actor. We are looking for actors who embody the sense of youth or age needed for each role. Even in the more serious plays, an ability to play comedy is important. We welcome actors of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, and neuro-diversities to audition.

Please prepare two contemporary and contrasting monologues (one comedic, one dramatic) totaling no more than 2½ minutes. In addition, each person auditioning should bring two pictures with resumes attached.

  • Douggie Shimmatrarro: A small, baby-faced kid who is returning to his hometown after a long absence.
  • Frankie Verga / Philly Verga: Middle-aged, thin, cat-like, dangerous. Philly is a more flashy version of his brother.
  • Dubbah Morrision: Same age as Frankie, but much smaller and much more affable.
