Please prepare a short monologue (2 minutes) from a contemporary play. Please bring your headshot, and resume stapled together.

SYNOPSIS: Set in Senegal on the eve of Y2K, Rajiv Joseph's two-hander thriller follows a naive Peace Corps volunteer who becomes dangerously entangled in the murky world of an enigmatic State Department operative after a suspicious truck accident.

Boubs: Male identifying, mid - late 20’s, actor of color, American Peace Corps volunteer, naive but slick.
Dina: Female identifying, 40’s, white, a seasoned, commanding, manipulative State Department official.

SYNOPSIS: Based on real events, Here There Are Blueberries is a documentary play that dramatizes the 2007 discovery of a mysterious photo album depicting the mundane social lives of SS personnel at Auschwitz, forcing a reckoning with the banality of evil and the complicity of ordinary people in the Holocaust.

SEEKING:

REBECCA ERBELDING (and others): Female, 20s-30s. Head intake archivist at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Intelligent, relentless, curious, and the emotional anchor of the play.
KARL HÖCKER (and others): Male, 40s-50s. An SS officer and banker who kept the photo album. Charming, bureaucratic, and chillingly normal.
JUDY COHEN (and others): Female, 50s-60s+. Senior archivist at the USHMM. Sharp, experienced, and tenacious in uncovering the truth.
TILMAN TAUBE (and others): Male, 30s-40s, Global Majority. A modern German businessman who discovers his family's connection to the album. Seeking understanding and reckoning.
RAINER HÖSS (and others): Male, 20s-30s. Descendant of a Nazi commander coming to terms with his family legacy.
CHARLOTTE SCHÜNZEL (and others): Female, 30s-40s. A receptionist/clerical officer in the camp. Methodical yet complex.
MELITA MASCHMANN (and others): Female, 40s-50s. Former Nazi propagandist, looking back on her indoctrination.
PETER WIRTHS/OTHERS (and others): Male, 50s+. Represents the descendants of high-ranking Nazi officials, grappling with empathy and shame.
