Scripts will be available for review at our box office (140 Clarendon Street, 2nd floor) from 12-5pm Wednesdays - Fridays. To arrange a different time, please contact us at

All roles are available for inclusive casting, unless otherwise specified. For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Auditions for youth actors will be held at a later date.

PREPARATION

Audition slots are FIVE (5) minutes long. Each actor has TWO (2) minutes to perform. Actors can prepare one monologue of their choosing or a monologue from any of the plays listed on the breakdown. Please bring a headshot and resume to the audition or email it to Community & Artistic Programs Manager Alexandra Smith at

ALL MY SONS

• JOE KELLER - late 50s. Father of Chris, married to Kate. Manufactured planes during WW2, and now works alongside his veteran son Chris. An unofficial mayor of the neighborhood. He knows all, and all know him. Has worked hard for everything he owns, and the safety and security of his family. Capable of masking the grit that earned him his success with the easygoing facade of upper-middle-class suburban life.
• KATE KELLER - early 50s. Mother of Chris, married to Joe. Protective, warm, calculating, and loving. Kate will do anything to take care of her own. She has a special talent for doing so, all while maintaining the status quo. Privately, harbors deep pain for her son Larry who went missing overseas during WW2. Clinging to hope. A woman of uncontrolled inspirations and an overwhelming capacity for love, says Miller.
• CHRIS KELLER - 32. Son to Joe and Kate. Veteran of WW2, now working with Joe at their factory. Seeking to rebuild his life in the wake of the war, family scandal, and the loss of his brother, Chris is pursuing a relationship with Ann. Loyal, loving, dutiful, devoted. Determined to build a life for himself and Ann. A man capable of immense affection and loyalty.
• ANN DEEVER - 26. George's younger sister. Dated Larry, the oldest Keller son who went missing overseas, and now involved with Chris. Working to move past the loss of Larry, Ann has returned home to start her new life with Chris. Honest, strong, grounded, and respectful - but capable of holding her own. Gentle but despite herself capable of holding fast to what she knows.
• GEORGE DEEVER - early 30s. Ann's older brother. Lawyer and WW2 veteran. Lives with Ann and their mother in New York. Principled, serious, direct, and a bit lost. Relentlessly pursuing truth in a world of falsehoods and white lies.
• DR. JIM BAYLISS - late 30s. The Kellers' neighbor, married to Sue. Served in WW2 alongside Chris and now the neighborhood doctor. Dutiful, charming, works hard to care for the people around him. A wry self-controlled man, an easy talker, but with a wisp of sadness that clings even to his self-effacing humor.
• SUE BAYLISS - late 30s. The Kellers' neighbor, married to Jim. Has worked as a nurse for years. Put her husband through medical school. Resents Chris' idealism and its influence on her husband. Family comes first. Direct, observant, smart, and perhaps a bit guarded.
• FRANK LUBEY - early 30s. The Kellers' neighbor. Married to Lydia, father of 3. Avoided the draft in WW2, and now interested in astrology to explain how a man's life is determined. Simple, pleasant, kind. Has lived a smaller, protected life compared to other men of his age who fought in WW2. A pleasant, opinionated man, uncertain of himself, with a tendency toward peevishness when crossed, but always wanting it pleasant and neighborly.
• LYDIA LUBEY - late 20s. The Kellers' neighbor. Married to Frank, mother of 3. Dated George prior to the war. In the face of the chaos of WW2, she made a life for herself in her hometown. Content with suburbia, but at times nostalgic for her relationship with George. Good-hearted, content, pragmatic, with a slight bent of humor/irony. A suburban young mother who has made difficult choices in her life.
• BERT - An eight-year-old boy from the neighborhood. Bert plays a game with Joe in which he is a police officer who can lock up criminals in an imaginary jail in Joe’s basement.

PETER PAN GOES WRONG

• CHRIS: (MR DARLING and CAPTAIN HOOK in the play) 30s-40s. High status clown. Rigid, uptight, everything really matters. He is the director of the show and this is the biggest day of his life. Everything is riding on this. It is a nerve-wracking and exciting night. His pain is evident and every time someone laughs, the pain deepens. He has equal amounts of contempt for his fellow actors & the audience watching the play.
• TREVOR: 20s-40s. The play’s stage manager. He simply wants to get on with the show. Curmudgeonly and doesn’t care for actors. He is easily distracted and does many things he shouldn’t, including engaging with the audience. When things go really sideways, he is forced to act in the play. He hates acting.
• JONATHAN: (PETER PAN in the play) 30s-40s, any ethnicity. A bit bland, but sees himself as a James Bond type. Excited and having fun, but not naïve. He technically has to drive the show. He cares about the play, but not to the same extent as the others. Very physical role.
• LUCY: (TOOTLES in the play) 18+ to play younger. Robert’s niece in the company. Timid, naïve, and vulnerable clown. She suffers from stage fright and is terrified by the whole experience of performing; however, finds her voice and confidence at the end.
• MAX: (MICHAEL DARLING, MERMAID, and the CROCODILE in the play) late 20s to 30s. Inexperienced and naive. Max's ability to connect with the audience despite his inexperience creates a uniquely charming character. RP Accent.
• FRANCIS: (NARRATOR and CECCO in the play) M20s-40s. A robust professional who, despite his best efforts, fruitlessly tries to keep the production together.
• ANNIE: (MARY DARLING, LISA, CURLY, and TINKER BELL in the play) 20s-40s. After an unexpected taste of the spotlight, Annie is deeply committed to each of her many roles but finds herself biting off more than she can chew.
• SANDRA: (WENDY DARLING in the play) 20s-40s. Ambitious, flirtatious with a huge ego. Believing herself the quintessential leading lady, she tries to steal the scene at every turn that leads her to constantly overact.
• ROBERT: (NANA, PETER’S SHADOW, and STARKEY in the play) 20s-40s. Robert likes to think he is a leading man, although he may not entirely resemble one. He truly believes that he can act his way out of every predicament. Committed to the play 100%. This is not a parody of bad acting, it's just that Robert is unaware of those around him. Single-minded and bombastic. Auguste clown.
• DENNIS: (JOHN DARLING, MERMAID, and MR SMEE in the play). 20s-40s. Wretched, low status and terrified of being in a play. The sole reason he joined the Society was to make friends, but this has back-fired somewhat. Not a good actor at all but imbues everything with a painful truth. Naive clown.

AGATHA CHRISTIE’S THE MIRROR CRACK’D

• MISS JANE MARPLE (CAST): 60s. Her name says it all.
• CHERRY BAKER: 20s. Miss Marple’s enthusiastic and well-meaning help. London accent.
• HEATHER LEIGH: 30s-40s. A lively and enthusiastic fan of Marina Gregg. She is full of energy and somewhat oblivious to the impact of her words.
• DOLLY BANTRY: 60s. A friend of Miss Marple and the former owner of Gossington Hall, where the murder occurs, a source of all the local gossip.
• MARINA GREGG: 40s-50s. A famous movie star, glamorous yet troubled. She has returned to England after a long career in Hollywood and is at a pivotal point in her life, dealing with personal and emotional struggles. (Spanish accent during filming scene)
• ELLA ZIELINSKY: 20s-40s. The efficient personal assistant, sharp and ambitious. Polish accent.
• LOLA BREWSTER: 20s. A young film actress, with her own dark past. American accent (English accent during filming scene).
• CHIEF INSPECTOR CRADDOCK: 40s. A classic ‘Christie’ police officer, behind the times and workmanlike in his approach.
• CYRIL LEIGH: late 30s-40s. Heather’s gentle and rather hen-pecked husband, a small but significant comic role.
• JASON RUDD: 50s. Marina Gregg’s devoted husband and film director. He is protective of Marina and is trying to help her through her difficulties while maintaining their public image. American accent.
• GIUSEPPE RENZO: 30s-40s. Marina Gregg’s butler, very protective of her. Italian accent.

KING JAMES

• SHAWN: early 20s-early 30s, Black. Sharp, passionate, a writer, emotionally intelligent but guarded. Carries quiet power. His relationship to LeBron mirrors his relationship to hope.
• MATT: early 20s-early 30s, White. Socially awkward but sincere. Hustling his way through life. Someone who can balance comedy and vulnerability. He loves basketball, but connection is what he’s really after.
