Expected to attend:
Please prepare a short R&B/soul, gospel, or contemporary musical theatre song in the style of John Legend that shows musicality and range. A piano accompanist will be provided. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.

ARCHIE: Male (cis, trans or non-binary). White, 30s. A banker and a businessman. Well mannered, somewhat arrogant and leads with privilege. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting and movement skills.

DELILAH STANDBY: Female (cis, trans or non-binary). Black, late 20s - 30s. Ambitious, warm, joyful, and a big bright spirit. Has an incredible singing voice and strong acting and dancing skills.

THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPAL ROLES HAVE BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED AND ARE THUS NOT BEING CAST AT THIS TIME:

DELILAH: ROLE HAS BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED. Female (cis, trans or non-binary). Black, late 20s - 30s. Ambitious, warm, joyful, and a big bright spirit. Has an incredible singing voice and strong acting and dancing skills.

BEA: ROLE HAS BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED. Female. White, late 30s - 40s. No nonsense, vivacious, ambitious, controlling. A life well lived in. Must have an amazing singing voice and strong acting and movement skills.

PEOLA: ROLE HAS BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED. Female. Ages from 18 - 20s. Delilah’s daughter. For storytelling purposes, a white-passing young woman who is the child and/or grandchild of black parent and/or grandparent. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting skills. A strong dancer/mover who is comfortable with partnering.

ELROY: ROLE HAS BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED. Male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Black. Playful, loving, handsome and hopelessly romantic. Excellent dancer and singer who moves very well.

YOUNG PEOLA: ROLE HAS BEEN OFFERED AND ACCEPTED. Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 11 years old. Delilah’s daughter. For storytelling purposes, a young, white-passing girl who is the child and/or grandchild of black parent and/or grandparent. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting skills.
