Equity chorus dancers (Male characters) for Imitation of Life (See breakdown).
PREPARATION
Please come warmed up and ready to dance with a headshot and resume stapled together. Women should bring heels and flats and men should bring sneakers or jazz shoes. There will be no singing following this ECC for Dancers.

IMITATION OF LIFE
SEEKING:
MALE-IDENTIFYING ENSEMBLE, U/S ELROY: Male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Black. Excellent dancer and singer who can play a range of characters within the ensemble. Must be comfortable with partnering. May understudy the principal role of ELROY: 30s. Black. Playful, loving, handsome and hopelessly romantic.
FEMALE-IDENTIFYING ENSEMBLE, U/S PEOLA: Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-early 30s. Excellent dancer and singer who can play a range of characters within the ensemble. Must be comfortable with partnering. Will understudy the principal role of PEOLA: Delilah’s daughter. For storytelling purposes, a white-passing young woman who is the child and/or grandchild of black parent and/or grandparent. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting skills. Must be a strong dancer/mover who is comfortable with partnering.
FEMALE-IDENTIFYING ENSEMBLE: Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Black. Excellent dancer with strong technique who can play a range of characters and has very strong singing skills. Must be comfortable with partnering and must have excellent tap-dancing skills.
MALE-IDENTIFYING SWING: Male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Black. Excellent dancer and singer who can play a range of characters within the ensemble. Must be comfortable with partnering.
MALE-IDENTIFYING SWING: Male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Latiné. Excellent dancer and singer who can play a range of characters within the ensemble. Must be comfortable with partnering and must have excellent tap-dancing skills. Will understudy the featured ensemble role of JUAN MADRIGAL: 30s. A white-passing singer and performer from Cuba. Sexy and charismatic. Must be an excellent dancer and excellent tapper.
FEMALE-IDENTIFYING SWING: Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. Black. Excellent singers who can play a range of characters and has very strong dance skills. Must be comfortable with partnering.
FEMALE-IDENTIFYING SWING: Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s-40s. White. Excellent singers who can play a range of characters and have very strong dance skills. Must be comfortable with partnering.
OFFSTAGE SWING, U/S YOUNG PEOLA: Female (cis, trans or non-binary). YOUNG PEOLA: Delilah’s daughter. 11 years old. For storytelling purposes, a young, white-passing girl who is the child and/or grandchild of black parent and/or grandparent. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting skills.
OFFSTAGE SWING, U/S YOUNG JESSIE: Female (cis, trans or non-binary), 9-11 years old. White. Bea’s daughter. Has an excellent singing voice and strong acting skills. Must be comfortable with partnering.
