SYNOPSIS: HOTEL HAPPY takes place at a high-end erotic resort in Bogotá, Colombia, that caters to foreign men. Sofi, a former beauty queen turned sex worker, rescues a displaced donkey named “Like You”. Sofi wants to protect Like You from greedy landowners who will use him for forced labor. She plans a rescue mission with her co-workers Lulu and Candela, and they bring him to the hotel. When three American mercenaries visit the hotel on a special mission, the girls must protect Like You at all costs because, as they will soon discover, he is no ordinary donkey.

SEEKING:

[SOFI] mid to late 20s, female-identifying, Latina, a charismatic former beauty queen from a wealthy rural family, displaced due to war, now works full-time at Hotel Happy in Bogotá, has a deep connection and authentic respect for nature.

[CANDELA] 20s, female-identifying, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Latina. Hailing from Buenaventura in Colombia, from a family of displaced military officers. Has a nursing background, is practical, confident, fashion-savvy, and a self-preservationist. She is now living in Bogotá and working at Hotel Happy.

[MADAME CARLOTA] 50s, female-identifying, Latina. A force to be reckoned with. She exudes confidence and charm, always the life of the party. Her hotel is the go-to spot for a good time. Despite her glamorous exterior, she is not one to be underestimated. She grew up tough in the outskirts of the city and learned how to defend herself at a young age. She holds her own in a world that often tries to exclude her, using her wit and charm to navigate through any situation. Madame Carlota is a true survivor, and her resilience shines through in everything she does.

[BOB] 40s, male-identifying, American (any race/ethnicity). An amputee veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is from the small town of Poulsbo, Washington. Single, never married. Brave, a gentleman and a genuine soul in search of a soul mate. Current occupation: Security Specialist. Note: ACTORS WITH VARYING PHYSICAL DISABILITY(IES) ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.

[LULU] 20-something, female-identifying, Latina. A single mom from a working-class background in Cali, Colombia. She wants a better life for her son and has been displaced by war and violence. Strong personality, loyal to her friends and family, she works full time at Hotel Happy. [CAST]

[JOHN] 50s, male-identifying, White/Caucasian. Fluent in Spanish. American, divorcee from Pembroke Pines, Florida, a former Sergeant in the military with an obsessive spirit with a charming personality. Works for a private contractor in Colombia. Current Occupation: Senior Advisor of International Security. [CAST]

[RON] 40s, male-identifying, White/Caucasian. Tenacious American from Galveston, Texas also works for a private contractor, faithful husband and father of one daughter. Does things by the book and follows the rules. Current Occupation: Security Specialist. [CAST]
