SEEKING
Expected to attend: Equity chorus singers (male characters) for Flat Rock Playhouse's 2026 season. Actors of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, body types, ages, and performers with disabilities are encouraged to audition. See individual production breakdowns for specific roles, dates, and personnel.
PREPARATION
Please prepare a brief song appropriate to the style/era of one of the season's musicals: FOOTLOOSE, RENT, or SISTER ACT. An accompanist will be provided. Bring a headshot and resume stapled together. ECC procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity monitor will be provided.

- LYLE: Chuck’s buddy — a few lines, sings strong 3-part harmony, some dancing. Age 18–25.
- TRAVIS: Chuck’s buddy — a few lines, sings strong 3-part harmony, some dancing. Age 18–25.
- JETER: Ren and Willard’s friend, some lines, sings 3-part harmony, some dancing. Age 18–25.
- BICKLE: Chuck’s buddy — a few lines, sings strong 3-part harmony, some dancing. Age 18–25.
- GARVOM: Ren and Willard’s friend, some lines, sings 3-part harmony, some dancing. Age 18–25.
- ENSEMBLE: Males & females, 18–70. Townspeople and students; need strong character performers (all age ranges) for many roles; teenage through adult chorus singing and dancing parts. All teens dance; all adults dance at the prom.

- SISTER MARY THERESA: A nun of the convent, the oldest of the group. Decrepit at a glance but secretly packs a punch. Gender: female. Age: 60–70+.
- MICHELLE: One of Deloris’ back-up singers. Lippy and always quick with a retort. Gender: female. Age: 20–30.
- TINA: One of Deloris’ back-up singers. A little thick and naive. Gender: female. Age: 20–30.
- ERNIE: One of Curtis’ thugs. Initially thought to be a mindless yes-man, he turns out to be an undercover informant. Gender: male. Age: 25–35+.
