Directions to the Oakes Center, provided by the Theatre: “Take NJ Transit, either bus or train, to the downtown Summit stop. Walk down Broad Street approximately ½ mile, make a right on Ashwood (dry cleaner on corner). Make first left onto Morris Avenue. Theatre is on the corner between Ashwood and Russell. Enter in the Russell Place alley on the side of the building.”

REPLACEMENTS ONLY FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
  • Lauren Ellis – CAST. F. Mid 60s. A famous stage actress. Currently appearing as April in the revival of the classic American play Midnight Cicadas at The Cellar.
  • Jess – CAST. F or non-binary. Late 20s–early 30s. Front of house staff at The Cellar, but also does education and group sales.
  • Darius – CAST. M. 40s–50s. Managing Director of The Cellar.
  • Keri – CAST. F. 30s–40s. The Interim Artistic Director of The Cellar.
  • Trent – CAST. M. 40s–50s. An audience member on opening night of Midnight Cicadas at The Cellar.

Theatre’s statement: “We are actively seeking to increase our knowledge of a diverse pool of actors. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to attend. Although many roles are cast from our ensemble, we draw on actors we meet for productions, readings and other projects as well as future opportunities.”

PREPARATION

Please prepare a comedic, contemporary monologue, no more than two minutes in length. Also, please bring a picture and resume.
