Equity chorus dancers for roles in Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (see breakdown). Casting: Jason Styres / The Casting Collaborative.

PREPARATION

Expected to attend: Joe Calarco (director), Hope Easterbrook (choreographer), Jason Styres (casting director).

Please bring a hard copy of your picture/resume, stapled. Come prepared to dance. Everyone should come with sneakers/character shoes to dance in. If wanting to be considered for any female-identified roles, please bring character heels in addition to sneakers. Depending on numbers/time, you may be asked to stay and sing a short cut of a song the same day. Please bring sheet music. An audition pianist will be provided.

[ENSEMBLE SINGERS & DANCERS] Seeking a diverse ensemble of talented, well-rounded singers and dancers. There are various roles that will need to be assigned, as well as covers for principal roles, and also swings. Below are some of the ensemble roles that will be in consideration:

[ JEHAN FROLLO ]

Male-identified character, 20s-30s. Claude’s reckless younger brother. With Florika, he fathers Quasimodo, who he leaves in his brother’s care. Wild, passionate, and strong-willed. Vocal range: G#2–Eb4.

[ FLORIKA ]

Female-identified character, 20s-30s. A Romani woman and Quasimodo’s mother. Vocal range: C#4–F5.

[ FATHER DUPIN ]

Male-identified character, 40s-60s. A priest of Notre Dame and Claude and Jehan’s guardian. Vocal range: C4–A4.

[ LIEUTENANT FEDERIC CHARLUS ]

Male-identified character, 20s-30s. Lieutenant of the Cathedral Guard and loyal friend to Phoebus.

[ KING LOUIS XI ]

Male-identified character, 40s-50s. King of France, nicknamed the Prudent.

[ TRIBUNAL ]

Male-identified character, 20s-50s. A judicial officer. Vocal range: G2–E4.

[ MADAM ]

Female-identified character, mid-30s-50s. Owner of a brothel and safe haven for the Roma.

[ SAINT APHRODISIUS ]

Male-identified character, 30s-50s. A stained-glass image that comes to life. Vocal range: B2–E4.

[ CONGREGATION MEMBERS ]

An ensemble of storytellers who portray various ROMANI, GARGOYLES, STATUES, SOLDIERS, REVELERS, PARISHIONERS, PRIESTS, PROSTITUTES and CITIZENS of Paris.
