SYNOPSIS: A love story between Duke, an American hip-hop star and Roya, an Afghan interpreter, who meet in Kabul and work to navigate their burgeoning relationship through the realities of their two different worlds.

DUKE - Cover: 30s Black Male. Hip hop star. Visits Bagram Air Force Base to entertain the American troops. Independent and very stubborn. Develops feelings for Roya. His mother is British/Nigerian and father is African American.
ROYA HAFEZ - Cover: late 20s-30s Afghan Female. A stunning Afghan interpreter on the Air Force base shows Duke around Kabul. Disguises herself as AREF to have male privileges. Develops feelings for Duke.
SAYEED HAFEZ - Cover: 50s-60 Afghan Male. Roya’s father and Afghan interpreter. Handsome erudite. He is traditional and responsible. Wants the best for his wife and daughters.
DESIREE ANDERSON-DUKE - Cover: Late 40s-mid 50s but doesn’t look it. Black Female. British/Nigerian, Duke’s mother. Charming and brilliant. Helps Roya and her family get out of Afghanistan.
