Seeking:

Willy:

Male. 60s. A salesman who can no longer accomplish, exhausted, with a deep fear, paranoia and sense of persecution, quick-tempered, a self-deluded dreamer, at the end of his strength and justifications, yet still charming and hopeful in fits and starts.

Linda:

Female. Mid-50s-60s. A housewife and mother, ordinary, worn down, fiercely devoted to Willy, careful around him, a pillar of strength and resoluteness, yet also very warm and loving, hopeful yet filled with fear for the future.

Biff:

Male. Mid-30s. Adrift in life, coming to terms with who he is beyond his father's dreams for him, done with the lies but still desperate to please, once a high school football idol, now troubled, reflective and frustrated, fiercely protective of his mother. Able to play his teenage self.

Happy:

Male. Early 30s. Braggart, wild dreamer like Willy, younger than his years, womanizer, quick to lie if it will smooth things over, eager to please, self-destructive, charming bullshitter, bright but shallow, in shadow of both father and older brother. Able to play teenage self.

Uncle Ben:

Male. 60s. Willy's successful older brother, authoritative, utterly confident and certain of his destiny, a romantic explorer of far away places, an adventurer.

The Woman:

Female. Mid 40s- mid 50s, Boston secretary/receptionist, easy and distinctive laugher, flirt, well put together, stylish but firmly working to middleclass, knows how to get her way with a man.
