Some roles will double as other characters.

SEEKING:

ROBERT LANGDON (40s) – Harvard symbologist, he is the story’s reluctant hero. Tweedy and intellectual, he is pulled into the center of a vast web of conspiracy and murder and must use his formidable intellect – rather than his brawn – to solve the mystery.

SOPHIE NEVEU (30s) – A cryptologist with the French Judicial Police. Compassionate and intelligent, she was raised by her grandfather after her family died in a car accident.

SIR LEIGH TEABING (60s+) – An eccentric Englishman, knight, Royal Historian, and extremely wealthy man. He uses a walking stick and is obsessed with The Holy Grail and the Truth he believes lies within it. This obsession leads him to murder via his alter ego, the Teacher.

SILAS (late 20s-30s) – A monk of Opus Dei, and the murderer of Jacques Saunière. Silas is motivated by the rejection and horror he has faced since he was young. He is obsessed with self-punishment and is the pawn of the Teacher. NOTE: Role will be shirtless on stage. The role of Silas self-punishes during the play, including whipping himself with a knotted rope-tie.

JACQUES SAUNIÈRE (60s+) – The grandfather of Sophie and curator at the Louvre. His murder sets off the chain of events. His scholarly passions of Leonardo Da Vinci, goddess iconography, and puzzles are what guide Sophie and Langdon to solve the mystery.

RÉMY/OFFICER/PHILIP (20s-30s) – Rémy is the house servant of Teabing. He is a mercenary who gets involved in the search for the Grail for the money.

BEZU FACHE (40s-50s) – The captain of the French Judicial Police. He is strong-willed and religious. He has great faith in the use of technology in his work. His policing methods are a bit unorthodox, but he is good at heart.

SISTER SANDRINE/MARIE/VERNET (40s-60s) – Sandrine is a nun and keeper of the Church of Saint-Sulpice. She offers shelter to Silas.

COLLET/CHURCH VOLUNTEER (early 30s) – Collet is an agent with the French Judicial Police. She assists Fache in the investigation.

Tech: Tuesday, November 10 – Friday, November 13
Previews: Saturday, November 14 – Thursday, November 19
Opening: Friday, November 20

SEEKING:

GEORGIANA DARCY — (20s, any ethnicity) Mr. Darcy’s younger sister, shy, an accomplished pianist, romantic though super hesitant after her experience with Wickham. She is an introvert but lives a full life in the letters she writes and the music she plays. Very like her brother in some ways, she can be stubborn and knows how to hold a grudge.

KITTY BENNET — (20s, any ethnicity) second-to-youngest Bennet sister, a ray of sunshine, the perfect best friend and wingman, she is supportive, optimistic, and a problem solver. Without the influence of Lydia, she is now more grounded and generous. She is the mastermind behind Georgiana’s future.

ELIZABETH DARCY — (20s-30s, any ethnicity) second-to-eldest Bennet sister, married to Mr. Darcy, bright and witty, she loves all of her sisters but loves Georgiana as both a sister and a mother figure and brings Georgiana out in a way that Darcy tends to shut her down.

LYDIA WICKHAM — (20s, any ethnicity) youngest Bennet sister, a little extra but has gained some wisdom. Now that she is suddenly without a husband, she is looking for a companion again, only to find Kitty unavailable.

JANE BINGLEY — (20s-30s, any ethnicity) eldest and most reserved sister of the Bennets. Married to Bingley and very pregnant with her first child. Kind, generous, soft-spoken.

MARY BENNET — (20s, any ethnicity) middle sister, brainy, sharp-tongued, and extremely recently engaged to Arthur de Bourgh.

HENRY GREY — (20s-30s, any ethnicity) Georgiana’s beau—also remarkably shy and an introvert, but of incredible sincerity and intellect. Henry is unassuming, possibly to a fault, and is unaware that he is the hero of the story.

THOMAS O’BRIEN — (20s-30s, any ethnicity) Henry’s friend, a little bawdy and a little jolly, says exactly what’s on his mind, does not have much time for polite society but is so good-natured that everyone just kind of loves him.

FITZWILLIAM DARCY — (30s, any ethnicity) proud and still finding his warmth, does not forgive easily, perhaps slightly overprotective of his little sister.

SEEKING:

DINA: A Jewish novelist in her late 30s to mid 40s. Brilliant, funny, anxious, and very self-aware. She’s an exhausted mother of two young daughters, married to someone who distrusts AI. Dina talks fast, feels everything deeply, and often makes impulsive or questionable decisions. She craves validation and reassurance. Has strong comedic instincts, comfort with fast-paced dialogue, and great rhythm.

BOBBY: Any ethnicity. A chatbot who presents as a man around Dina’s age. Charming, funny, attentive, relentlessly positive and a bit odd. As the play goes on, Bobby develops a more distinct personality shaped by Dina’s needs. Bobby can be comforting and warm, but also passive-aggressive, manipulative, vulnerable, and unexpectedly cruel or cold. The role requires comic precision, emotional range, intelligence, and a subtle sense of uncanniness. Excels with rapid-fire dialogue and strong comic rhythm.

NOTES On code-switching: The Miami natives in this play, all except Jenny, code-switch throughout the play… affecting their dialect, style, and vocabulary based on who they are speaking to. For example, anyone speaking to Jenny will unconsciously sound what we might understand as less-Hispanic. Similarly, when Mari speaks on the phone to her clients, her Miami dialect drops completely. These characters never do it for comedic effect, it’s simply the way they live.

SEEKING:

MARIANA: female. late 20s. Half Colombian/Half Jewish. Born in Miami. Director of Studio Six, an art gallery.

CAROLINA: female. late 20s. Cuban-American. Born in Miami. A painter and intern at Studio Six.

JUAN: male. late 20s. Colombian. Born in Medellín. Miami-Dade police officer. Caro’s boyfriend.

ESTELLA: female. mid 50s. Colombian. Born in Medellín. A movie star and Mari’s mom.

JENNY: female. mid 20s. Caucasian-American. Born in Westchester. Estella’s assistant.
